Maluma Releases 'Loco x Volver,' Calls It His 'Most Personal' Album Yet

Maluma has released his most personal project to date.

The global Latin music superstar dropped his seventh studio album, Loco x Volver. The 14-track album marks a deeply personal journey for the artist and showcases a blend of reggaetón, vallenato, salsa, merengue, dancehall, and hip-hop, reflecting the genres that shaped his musical identity.

"It's called Loco x Volver because I missed Juan Luis. I missed my essence, that dreaming kid. And I came back," he said. "This is the most important and most personal album I've ever made. It represents my roots, my culture. It was hard, but making this album was my way of healing and finding a rebirth."

The album serves as a tribute to his heritage and a celebration of Colombian culture. "This album is a celebration of my ancestors, a tribute to my grandparents. It's because of them that I am a musician today," he added.

The album features collaborations with artists including Arcángel, Grupo Frontera, and Justin Quiles, and more. One of the album's most moving moments comes with "Con el Corazón," recorded alongside the late Yeison Jiménez as a tribute to their friendship and the final song they recorded together.

With Loco x Volver, Maluma leans into his roots while embracing a new chapter, delivering a project that reflects both where he's been and where he's headed.
